During this nine months I have been very aware that caring for my skin was essential, and not only for the stretch marks that might appear. Caring for my skin every morning after the shower became a ritual for me and the baby. My moment to be present and connect with Milo, leave the hurry and give myself a massage that generates joy and love.
In my case, the first months my skin was more sensitive than usual. Some outbreaks of rosacea came out. In those moments it really helped me to use the SERUM more often, as it helped soothe my skin thanks to the macerated plants and medicinal seeds.
On the second trimester, my skin was glowing, even though I did not stop applying sunscreen the days my skin was exposed to the sun to avoid any hormonal stains.
On my body, I used to massage starting from my feet, legs, belly and finally my chest with the REVITALIZING OIL. I don’t think I stopped using the oil a single day and now I can really notice how my skin is grateful for it and in my case its recovery have been really fast.
Stretch marks appear as a result of the sudden stretching of the skin so it’s really important to have it hydrated, so that it does not lose its elasticity.
On the third trimester, I began to feel my nipples very sensitive and even the rubbing of clothes will become uncomfortable. For that reason, I prepared a balm that helped me a lot through this time and specially the first days of breastfeeding were my nipples were very sensitive and I got some small wounds.
This balm, helped my skin regenerate easily and I felt way better in a few days. Here is the recipe :)
25gr of Calendula and Chamomile infused in Olive oil
9gr Shea Butter
9gr Cacao Butter
7gr Bees Wax ( or a vegan wax)
Put all the ingredients in the bain-marie. Stir the mix well until completely disolved. * It is very important that the mixture never boils. Otherwise the properties will be lost.
Remove from heat and pour the mix into a previously sterilized container.
Let the mixture solidify without covering the container.
Ready to use 24h after its preparation.
Hope you like it :)
